Perforation Circular Knives and Blades

Perforation folding knives are specialized blades designed for creating controlled, easy-to-separate lines on materials like paper, film, or packaging. They're commonly used in printing, packaging, and manufacturing industries for tasks like creating tear-off sections, forming folds, or separating materials in a controlled manner.

  • Perforating: This process creates a series of small, controlled cuts or slots in a material, making it easy to tear or separate along the perforation line.
  • Folding: Perforation folding knives can also be used in conjunction with folding equipment to cut slots into paper, facilitating easier folding and preventing creases.

Various Applications:

These knives are used in various applications, including:

  • Creating tear-off sections in paper, calendars, or labels.
  • Folding brochures, maps, or other products.
  • Packaging and labeling.

Types of Perforation Knives

  • Round blades: These are used to create circular or curved perforations.
  • Serrated or toothed blades: These are used to create a series of small cuts for easy separation.
  • Benefits of Perforation Knives:
  • Controlled Separation: Ensures clean, even tears along the perforation line.
  • Easy Folding: Facilitates clean and wrinkle-free folds.
  • Improved Durability: Reduces stress on the material during folding and tear-off.

Materials:

Perforation folding knives are typically made from high-quality steel for durability and longevity, such as HSS AND D2 steel.

Coating:

Some blades may have special coatings (TiN, TICN, Teflon, etc.) to enhance wear resistance and reduce friction.  In essence, perforation folding knives are versatile tools that enable controlled separation and folding in a variety of industrial and manufacturing processes.
